Author Interview

Currently, while Reese's forthcoming novel working title "Allured" is being polished, she is working on many works. One in general called, "Death Howls." A YA paranormal thriller, based on a dream she had when she was seventeen.

When we asked Reese a few questions regarding her writing, this is what she had to say.
Where does your inspiration come from?

"I have no clue where the stories and characters come from. I guess there in a secret world, I dreamed in a previous life. Writing seems to come easy most of the time. Sometimes, I will be sleeping, and an idea will pop into my head. I feel the need to write the story-line idea down, before I can ever go back to sleep."

Reese spends her free time taking strolls in the park on a warm afternoon, reads while burning scented candles, and listing to instrumental music, and melodies from show tunes and the "Rat Pack."
"Music soothes my soul. You can never go wrong while listening to the classics. Sometimes, I get inspired just listing to the melodies.

Are you opposed to writing different genres, or would you prefer to write the same type of stories, staying within the genre your currently writing in?

"I am not really opposed, nor do I want to be stereo-typed to any particular genre. I am open to writing most anything, as long as I am inspired. With the exception of Westerns. I just cannot get into that style of genre, nor do I have an interest in writing Westerns.

So, you enjoy writing dark fantasy, paranormal thrillers?

"Absolutely. I have had many experiences with paranormal activity throughout my youth and adulthood, and feel writing about something that's an interest and you have experience with helps the muse speak and flow.

What do you think your next venture will be once your forthcoming novel, Allured is accepted, and published?

"I think that will be in the hands of my agent, once I land an agent. I am sure I will be very busy."

Reese, how do you feel about traveling? I know authors travel abroad with appearing at book signings.

"I love traveling, and look forward to meeting new friends when the novel is accepted, and launched. Going to new places, and learning new cultures will be a welcoming experience."

Thank you so much for your time, Reese. We are all looking forward to your forthcoming novel, Allured.
